Under the title “To Hamburg by vaporetto”, the Cordoba Orchestra presents its next season program, for which they will have the guest baton of Jaume Santonja.

The Valencian director will offer music that will frame Venice and Hamburg as “port and musical nodes at different moments in history: in the 17th century, the baroque Venice of Vivaldi and Sammartini was a thriving world center of music and commerce. Two centuries later, we traveled by vaporetto to the new world center of commerce and romantic music, Brahms’ Hamburg”. Thus, Giuseppe Sammartini’s Concerto in F major for recorder and Antonio Vivaldi’s Concerto in C major for flute will be heard, featuring Sophia Schambeck’s solo flute, in a night that will close with Johannes Brahms’ First Symphony .
